Why has a great country like Russia has let it’s road s fall in to disrepair, with its great wealth surely it should have enough money to look after the roads

I think Russia has too many roads to be repaired, they are too spreaded across the country.
Besides, they stole money - of course!

The roads are bad at times they get too bad, The authorities have a blind eye on them and our vehicles get the most of them and we burn our pockets for spares and other things that go off with bad roads.
