Hey!
What do you like more: Moscow or Saint Petersburg?
I like St Pets because it's stay on sea and near to Finland :) And artchtecture of Petersburg is very uncommon for Russia, it looks more "european".

Different strokes for different folks :) I like both. Moscow is monumental but St. Petersburg is otherwise :)

I would term it as the old Russia as Moscow and the new Russia as St. Peters. Do you agree guys?

I've not seen either, yet! However, if I could only chose one...it would be St. Pete's! ;)

Moscow vs St Petersburg

I love both cities. In Petersburg, walking through the narrow streets and along the canals, you can really imagine you are in one of Dostoevsky's books. But it is more European and that is why I love Moscow. I love the bold communist art and architecture. If I had to choose, it would be Moscow, it was the first Russian city I visited and it feels like home.

For a weekend, Moscow is great, for living, SPb is better. However, if you are an expat, the jobs are to be had in Moscow so this is where you will probably end up. In fact per capita, there are many more foreigners in Moskva than Petersburg.Moscow is the financial capital while Peter is the cultural capital. The architecture in Petersburg is amazing and the previous poster was correct about it looking very Western European as it was modeled on Amsterdam.

Of course this question is very loaded depending on who you ask. Ask someone from SPb and they will tell you Moscow sucks and ask someone from Moscow and they will say that SPb is a village. I like Moscow and would take it any day over London however, nothing beats a stroll down the Moika.
