How do you say "it depends"?

Hmm... "Posmotrim/Посмотрим... (Let's see...)

Hmmm, I would say that 'Посмотрим' is not the equivalent. 'Смотря...' seems to be closer to the meaning. For example
- Ты пойдешь со мной в кино?/ Will you go to the cinema with me?
- Смотря во сколько./ Depends on at what time.

But we can't just say 'It depends.' or 'Depends on.' without explaining WHAT it depends on.

Or "Зависит от..." (Zavisit ot...) I suppose it is closer!

I would say you can invent some equivalents for example "Смотря по обстоятельствам / Smotrya po obstoyatel'stvam" (it depends on the situation)
